Project: Samantha

Thank you for visiting Project: Samantha SourceForge Project Page.

Project: Samantha is the code name for our upcoming software product. Samantha is an audio/music server for company/Internet networks. We currently use the following technology:

   1. MySQL: MySQL is used for our backend database. We are positioning Samantha to handle well over 1,000 audio files. A powerful database must be used to handle all the information in a timely manner.

   2. PHP: PHP is used for our Website frontend. Anyone can look at the server information, see what is playing, and vote for what the next song will be. There will also be links where you can download the songs played.

   3. Perl: Perl is used to automate our backend scripts. The scripts will automate the process of inputing songs into the database and extracting the votes or parsing a file to the music streamer.
